I hope everyone is staying healthy and doing their part to "flatten the curve".I'm unfortunately the bearer of somewhat bad news. We've waited as long as we could to see how this story was going to unfold, but it seems that we're going to have to postpone our annual Battle of the Badges tournament. This is by no means a cancellation! Those who registered already are good for the event, which will now be occurring in the fall.
The new date is Wednesday, September 16th. We made it a weekday as usual so it is easier for our first responders to get the day off.
We really wanted to be the guys waving our flag at this event and helping all you guys decompress. Unfortunately, we are expected to be hit harder in the coming days in our area and we don't want already stressed first responders to feel burdened by burning a day off to attend this. All of you first responders are valuable to us, to our community and our country.
Most of you, like those of us that run this organization, are still going to work every day and risking your health and the health of your loved ones during these trying times. Save your time off for your families.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
EDIT: I apologize, registration is being extended! Register until the event happens. Thank you!
